Communion Services

Communion is a time of worship and remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only ritual mandated for the Church today. The Communion service, or Eucharist, is designed to focus your concentration on the person of Christ and to commemorate His saving work on the cross. The elements of the communion table serve as symbolic reminders: The bread represents the impeccable humanity of Christ whose body bore our sins on the cross, and the cup represents His blood, the substitutionary spiritual death of Christ on the cross.

Communion is not only a time of worship and memorial, but also an opportunity to evaluate your own level of spiritual growth and occupation with Christ. Every believer is commanded to observe Communion periodically. The Lord Jesus Christ instituted the ritual at the Last Supper, saying literally, “Keep on doing this in remembrance of Me” (1 Corinthians 11:24b). When knowledge of Bible doctrine develops in you the capacity to remember and love the Lord, then this ritual becomes a meaningful reality.

On this DVD are nine Communion services officiated by R. B. Thieme, Jr., including one Fourth of July and three New Year’s Eve services.
